The premise for this project was to recreate an already existing object but give it a "second skin" by keeping the object's original shape and giving it a new skin or texture
I chose to give Amazon Kindle's reading tablet a second skin. The tablet has a case over it, the bark, and folds up like a book. As it opens up, the inside cover reveals the rings of the tree, the Kindle logo cut out of the same bark texture as the outer case, and the tablet itself is the code of the image file for the definition of the world "kindle".
